In this visual-gestural adaptation (no signed or spoken dialogue) of Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus, a brilliant doctor and scientist learns necromancy in order to reach beyond the limits of his own knowledge; by that magical art, he strikes a deal with the devil: his soul in exchange for 24 years of power. As the clock ticks away the years, Faustus and his demon servant, Mephistopheles, navigate through a Steampunk world where technology and magic intertwine, and its people struggle to not lose sight of their humanity. Can Doctor Faustus redeem himself before the clock strikes its final hour, delivering him to his doom?
Directed by Gallaudet Theatre and Dance Program alums James Caverly '11 and Brian Suchite '10 and G-'14.
Performances are April 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25, 2015 at 8:00 pm and April 18, 19, 25, and 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Gilbert C. Eastman Studio Theatre located in Elstad Annex 131 on the campus of Gallaudet University, 800 Florida Avenue NE, Washington DC 20002-3695 [Metro - RED line - NoMa-Gallaudet]. Free on-campus parking is available.
This production runs approximately 90-100 minutes with NO intermission.
Appropriate for patrons 10 years old and up (children under the age of 5 will not be permitted in the theatre).
Seating is limited to 90 seats per show. Patrons need to be in their seats no later than 10 minutes before the show starts. There will be no late seating once the show starts.

Non-Gallaudet students (students attending any other school), part-time Gallaudet students (i.e., students taking ASL or PST classes; or students who have not paid the spring 2015 semester unit fee), and full-time Gallaudet students who have paid the spring 2015 semester unit fee and already received their "one free ticket with ID" but want to see the show a second time - $10 online (with a credit card - use the Non-Gallaudet Student category), $15 at the Box Office Window (with cash or a local check)

Gallaudet Students - Full-time students who have paid the spring 2015 semester unit fee receive one (1) free ticket with their ID. This ticket must be picked up in the Theatre and Dance Program main office located in Elstad Annex 120. DO NOT buy a Gallaudet student ticket using the online credit card system (TICKETLEAP) unless you are sure that you do not qualify for the one (1) free ticket with ID.
The online credit card system (TICKETLEAP) is available 24/7. The Box Office Window will be open one (1) before the start of each performance.
This online credit card system (TICKETLEAP) stops processing credit card transactions one (1) hour before the start of the event. Once credit card transactions stop, ticket purchases must be made at the Box Office Window with cash or a local check.
ALL ticket sales are final - there are no refunds and no exchanges (regardless of how you acquired your ticket). Please arrive early to facilitate parking and to select your seat.
