The Gallaudet Dance Company, founded in 1955, is pleased to announce its Spring 2022 Dance Concert, Memories and New Beginnings: Celebrating 67 Years of Dance, sponsored by the Theatre and Dance Program and the Delta Zeta Foundation. Performances are Friday March 25, 2022 at 10:30 am and 7:30 pm and Saturday March 26, 2022 at 7:30 pm in Elstad Auditorium, Gallaudet University, 800 Florida Avenue NE, Washington, DC 20002 [Metro – RED line – NoMa-Gallaudet]. Free, on-campus parking is available. This production runs approximately two (2.0) hours with one (1) intermission.
This special event will bring current and alumni dancers of the acclaimed troupe together on Elstad stage. The company will present an entertaining production featuring local guest artists and a variety of dance genres including jazz, hip-hop modern, lyrical ballet, and ASL fused with dance. Participating guest dance companies include Gallaudet Alumni Dancers, Bison with Attitude, TMD Dance, Sunshine 2.0, Dakota Rain Carrion, National Deaf Dance Theatre, and The Wild Zappers. Guest choreographers presenting new dance works include Debra Floyd, Clarissa Garrison, Teresa Dominick, Ashley Pigliavento Gerald, and student choreographers, Lexine Brooks and Harmony Baniaga.

The Gallaudet Dance Company is most appreciative of his work in capturing the spirit of the dancers and their technical abilities during rehearsals and performances.

Tickets: In light of the continuing concerns about COVID-19, tickets are FREE for this year’s dance concert. This is a family-friendly event. E-tickets are required for EVERYONE - Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni, and Guests (including children, regardless of age). Appropriate for patrons 5 years old and up (children 4 years old or younger will not be permitted in the theatre).
Outside visitors must obtain an e-ticket to be permitted on campus. Please show your e-ticket to the campus public safety officer at the guard kiosk when you drive onto campus. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early to facilitate parking and to select your seat.
There will be NO box office hours and NO tickets available at the door.
