Any video and/or recording of this production is strictly prohibited.

Gallaudet University’s Theatre and Dance program invites you to experience the pulsating East Village energy of Jonathan Larson's bohemian musical in its first fully-produced Deaf and American Sign Language (ASL) staging anywhere, one which sheds light on a long-overlooked facet of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s: its devastating and profound impact on the Deaf community already facing adversity in more ways than one.  In highlighting the intersectionality of human identity, this production not only pays homage to the original spirit of the musical, but also serves as a poignant testament to the transcendental power of friendship, love, and abiding resilience as timeless touchstones of historically marginalized populations.
